Ready to take family game night to a whole new level??
The Mandala & Star Puzzle Game contains two games in one – you can easily choose which puzzle to play by turning it over. In “Mandala” (difficulty level 2 paws) straight and curved tracks which guide the “hats” where treats are hidden are placed symmetrically, while in “Star” they form the shape of a star. The game trains dog’s dexterity and concentration skills while boosting their natural instincts of curiosity, drive to play and sense of smell. We recommend this game for the beginners.
Dimensions: 12” x 5” x 4”
How to Play:
Step 1: Hide your dog’s favorite treat under “cylinders” and “hats” and then place them in the tracks. Make sure your dog sees you placing the treats inside of the puzzle pieces.
Step 2: Encourage verbally the dog to start the search or if necessary show them the treat hidden under the “cylinder” and “hat”.
Step 3: The treat will be found under the “cylinder” any knocking it down with a paw or a nose and in case of the “hat” by moving it in its track to the position where the “hat” can be lifted revealing the treat.
Step 4: Don’t forget to praise your dog every time he finds a treat.
Tip:
Allow your dog to watch as you hide the treats in the game to stimulate its curiosity. By being patient, showing it how the game works and giving it encouragement, you can ensure your dog will enjoy playing the game with you and will solve the puzzle.
Never let your dog play unsupervised, and intervene if it starts to chew pieces of the game. Regularly check the pieces for any damage such as splinters. Clean by wiping with a damp cloth, and do not use abrasive cleaners.
Additional information: This game is made of certified wood covered in a water-based varnish that is not harmful to humans and animals. Please keep the game dry and free of water, as the wooden pieces may swell otherwise. Use only dry treats for playing.
Intelligence games contribute significantly to ensuring that your dog gets involved in meaningful and appropriate activity that boosts its natural instincts. They strengthen the relationship between dog and owner, and help to address many behavioural problems such as separation anxiety, frustration or aggression.
